I am debating what to major in. I am pretty sure I do not want to go into medicine, which is what would happen if I majored biochem, but I would enjoy research. For Mech E I think I would love the job and research, but the major may kill my GPA from what I have read. Economics can allow me to get a great job and enter a masters prgram for International Relations, but how is the major?

Don’t not take a major because you’re afraid of what it would do to your GPA. You don’t know that it will kill your GPA, if you really enjoy it you will stay dedicated to it. If you’re that worried about the Mech E major, you can always use knowledge from Mech E as a hobby, and major in something else.

I’m not sure what the careers are like in Biochem, but it you enjoy the research and the subject ITSELF, I’m sure there’s other paths you can go down besides medicine.

ECON can get you a job, but so what? You not once said anything about enjoying ECON.

Biz Econ is a much harder program but is a much better program to apply to an MBA with. You just take extra courses in management.

Biz Econ looks better.

It’s pretty reputable.

You can get all those with both majors.

Biz-Econ is preferred.

You can get a job in business with any major so long as you work hard and interview well.
