I'm currently decding between Hamilton and Grinnell, I know Hamilton has a great econ program but I haven't really heard much abt Econ at Grinnell? How is it? And how connected to the real world is all classes in general for both Grinnell and Hamilton? Is it possible and easy for a Canadian student to find internships/jobs in the summer? And is it possible to get into really good business schools/find a good job after graduation? Which school would be better considering the above? Thanks!

Core departments like economics are rarely weak at top liberal arts colleges. I would not be trying to make this decision based on trying to split hairs about the econ departments at these two schools. You should be looking at the overall experience. They are both nice schools with equal academic reputations. At this point, both are fairly liberal in their political leanings (Grinnell has always been that way, Hamilton has trended that way). For most students, these schools are similar enough that it would come down to location. After graduation, a huge chunk of Hamilton people go to New York and Boston, where they hang out with their college friends. With Grinnell, that's Chicago to an extent, but it is not as focused.
