I was planning on either double majoring or majoring in international relations and minoring in economics. What are some good schools to look at? Particularly those in an Urban environment.

Huntsman Program in Wharton at Penn.

Tufts University!

Georgetown, George Washington University, Syracuse University, & University of Chicago.

Penn, Georgetown, and UChicago

strongly recommend Columbia, it’s in the international relations capital of the world. Econ is top notch as is the international politics program.

Other schools fitting your criteria which are in or in the suburbs of a big city:

georgetown, chicago, upenn, harvard, NYU.

I would check out Tufts and Georgetown.

A lot of those “international relations” schools are grad schools, not undergrad. Check to see if the school offers an undergrad IR major.

Thanks! So I’m pretty good with my ‘reaches’, what safeties/matches should I consider? I want them to have great economic/international relations programs but still be possible to get into (maybe 40-50% acceptance?)

I don’t feel like posting all my stats, but I have a good shot at the schools on the other lists.
BTW, I live in New Jersey.

Check out Princeton’s Woody Woo ![]()

American is probably a match.

Those rankings johnadams posted are for graduate programs…pretty meaningless
