Econ major - USC Dornsife or Wellesley

Wellesley’s econ is known for being particularly strong. Is USC econ an inferior option? What about research opportunities, internships, and (most importantly to me) grad school and career placement?

PS: USC will cost me substantially less than Wellesley, so grad school, if I choose to go, will be far more affordable.

I can’t speak for Wellesley, but here are things to consider for USC:
-USC is still a strong school regardless
-It’s not just which program has the highest “prestige” or ranking, it’s what you make of your overall college experience
-USC Alumni network is op
-USC also has the progressive master’s degree, where you can get it in five years. If cost and time are something on your mind, you should consider USC for that alone
