Econ Major vs Computer Science Major

I am currently a computer science major that is half way through my sophmore year and I am not doing too well in my CS classes and my current GPA is about a 3.3 (3.27 to be exact).

I have been thinking about switching my major to Econ because I feel as though I would do better academically as I do not think I am a very good at coding as most tasks that take others hours to complete can take me a couple of days to finish. The topics in my coding classes are going over my head and I feel like this would only get worse if I continued this major.

My parents want me to stay in Computer Science as the job market for Comp Sci majors is good but I dont think that I am going to do anything related to computer science in the future as I want to become a diplomate later in life and im already planning to get a masters in economics.

sorry for all the grammatical errors I was typing this in a rush

If you are that interested in economics, then switch! Besides, the job market is large, but it’s not growing that fast anymore. Tons of students are getting CS degrees. Do what you are interested in, though! Sounds like you wouldn’t want a job a CS major would get anyway, so I would switch!

If you switch to economics, will that delay graduation? Have you take. The introduction to Marco or micro yet?

I plan on taking some classes during the summer so that switching major would not delay graduation
