Econ Major with minor in Engineering

I am currently in my junior year double majoring in Economics and International Studies. However, I will essentially be done with both majors my junior year but since I still need my 120 credit requirement Im just gonna minor in something. I was thinking of minoring in Industrial Engineering since it’s related to economics and was wondering if that be useful and would help my resume in any way. I don’t really know what job so whatever helps my resume is what I’m more focused on now. Suggestions of other minors would be helpful as well.

There are two choices 1) minor in some topic you like or 2) minor in an area that could be beneficial to your career.

If you go the second route, there are a number of applied fields that would be complementary if your college offers them. Some examples would be building construction, hospitality, urban planning, computer science, forestry, health, etc. If you are good at math, statistics would be a good recommendation.

You don’t have to minor in anything; you could just take classes that can help you develop a skill set that’s relevant to a career you might like. I’d suggest programming/computer science, statistics/math, communication/writing, and/or research skills.
