econ major

I was accepted into the H&SS econ program. Is the econ major also part of the Tepper School because on Carnegie Mellon's website econ is on the Tepper School page and is listed both on the H&SS and the Tepper School lists of programs, thanks

Economics is part of Tepper and HSS. Graduates (on their diploma) get a degree from both HSS AND Tepper. Employers see the Tepper on your diploma (I guess all that matters) and the job prospects are equal.
If you have any further questions (Tepper is my specialty :)) feel free to ask (preferably on this thread since I am constantly overflowing with 40+ PM's and 50 is the max).

I applied to H&SS and Tepper, and I got rejected from Tepper, but since i'm econ i'm actually in Tepper? This is very good news!

Yes, you are.

You can find the news here: <a href="http://business.tepper.cmu.edu/default.aspx?id=143355%5B/url%5D">http://business.tepper.cmu.edu/default.aspx?id=143355</a></p>

Please send an email to cg28@andrew.cmu.edu if you want any "technical" information. The interns/jobs are basically the same; Econ is more theoretical and business is more applied. This is why I know quite a few people who double major in Econ/Tepper (allowed if you have a 3.0 or above) to get both these skills.
