I was wondering if anyone had any info on USC's Econ major and if their Econ grads get recruited or not. I am deciding between UCSD's Econ, UCSB Bus.Econ w/ Accounting, or UCI's Econ/Accounting minor. How would USC's Econ compare with those of the UC's and would it even be worth the tuition? Any advise or commnets would be appreciated! Thank You!

Back in the 70s when I was in college, the econ majors I saw get jobs were those who had their PhDs. You could contact the career counseling offices at each school for more info about what undergrad econ majors do for jobs.

I'm also interested in this... I know Marshall Business gets a lot of recruiting, but do econ majors benefit from this as well, or is Marshall the only way to go at USC for finance?

Times have changed. I am not sure about econ majors benefitting from Marshall, but econ majors can certainly get finance jobs not just PhDs. Of course having some business in there would be better like USC's business economics. Universities like Stanford, Harvard and Yale do not have a business administration degree (not even business economics, just economics). They are highly recruited at investment banks and consultant firms.
