econ majors help me!!

Is it okay to major in economics even if one isn't all that good at mathematics?

I don't like math that much but I think i like econ (theory).

should i major in econ?
do you have to be good at math to be sucessful as a econ major?

what can one do with a econ major besides being an accountant/banker or something involving serious math.

I can only help you with your first couple of questions, mainly because I'm just starting colleg emyself ( I'm a freshman). At my school econ majors are only required to take the first 3 calc courses (one of which is basic, HS calc).

Before you declare an econ major take the principles courses and find out if its what you want to do. If you like it enough youl get yourself through the math. It's all a matter of giving yourself motivation and working through it.

thanks. i'll try to take the introductory courses.

i'll feel like i'm wasting first year credits by taking the class if i end up not liking it. but oh well...

i guess there's a lot of math involved.not too much but enough. :(

thanks for the help though :)

Calc certainly and intro to econ possibly fulfill certain general education requirements at your college, so you won't be wasting credits even if you decide not to major in econ :)
