econ/mmss

Hey im a senior at a private school in MA. My school sends a bunch of students to top schools. Id be applying to WCAS for economics and mmss if i get in, if not maybe dual econ and communications.

what are my chances ED and RD? thanks

UW GPA: not really sure, probably around a 3.7-3.8
W GPA: 4.05

ACT: 32 (I dont think they superscore, but if they do id have a 34, probably only sending in my 32 though)

SAT II: I know its recommended, but Im not sending them, I didnt do as well as Id like.

APs: took 2 this year, 4 next year
AP micro 4
AP macro 4

ECs: -on exec. board that organized an all night walk for a hospice in Ecuador, raised close to 30k
- Chairman of club that goes to food kitchen twice a month
-Economics Competition at the FED
-Economics Competition at Harvard (came in 2nd)
-Economics for Leaders program at Cornell
-Rugby all 4 years(also on NE select team)
-leadership retreat at my school
-Underclassmen mentor
-school retreat leader
-eucharistic minister at church
-some more less significant ones i cant remember
-also plenty of volunteering

Recs: should be really good, getting them from 2 teachers, the woman that worked on the overnight walk fundraiser with me, and the headmaster of my school

Essay: working on it now, its about the overnight walk for the hospital in ecuador, hopefully it ends up good

Thanks!

anyone please?

Can't predict chances (although ED would help) but NU does not superscore the ACT.

I know they really emphasize GPA, so a 3.7 UW would be a little low, even for ED... so if you're truly interested in NU, I'd suggest you do ED to be somewhat safer because a 3.7 may easily get you rejected RD. If you have a 3.8, then forget what I just stated above.

Your ACT is around the middle percentile for NU so retake if you wish.

Your ECs definitely show interest in econ so thats a definite plus.

Id say a pretty good chance, great chance if you can get ACT to 33-34.

any more input?
