Hey, I am deciding between Haas vs econ. I want to ultimately get my MBA and work for a firm being an analysis. Which major is more preferred for this type of occupation? Thanks.

Doesn’t matter, but you don’t want to get an MBA on top of a BBA. An economics degree is more versatile and will give you a wider breadth of knowledge. You don’t need to study business to work in business. Most other top universities don’t offer a undergrad business degree in favor of an economics degree, doesn’t that tell you something?

thats very true. The reason I ask is because out of HAAS more financial firms such as Goldman Saachs hire graduates from HAAS than they do econ which made me a little weary. I have been investing since I was a child, and I just want my major to reflect my ambition in finance. Any other inputs?
