Econ or Poli Sci at JHU?

Hi,

Johns Hopkins, as we all know, is renown for its top-notch Bio/Med programs. However, as a top-ranked school, I'm sure that its other departments and programs are top-notch as well, but they might not get as much attention as the others. Right now I am a junior in high school, but in college I plan to major in Econ or Poli Sci, or possibly do a double major, as I plan on attending law school afterwards. So my question is how are the other programs (outside of the sciences), specifically Econ or Poli Sci, compared to other top schools?

Any feedback is appreciated.

I'm not sure about Econ but I know JHU is ranked in the top 10 for Political Science - plus they have a very impressive law/graduate school placement rate.

It has a great IR department

us news ranked jhu's econ like 20ish for grad students

The international studies major @ JHU requires courses from History, poli sci, econ and language departments. JHU is overall stronger in the humanities (English, Writing, History, Art History, German, Italian, etc.) than it is in the social sciences (Economics, Psychology, Sociology, etc)- but even these programs are quite good.

Johns Hopkins has an Economics Department that is par with Cornell's, Duke's and Brown's Economics Departments. These schools are all good for economics (Top 25).

Johns Hopkins' law school acceptance rate is 95-100% depending on the year (meaning most get into at least 1 of their choices). JHU is one of the Top 10 Feeder Schools for NYU Law (a top 5 law school). This is especially impressive considering JHU's small undergraduate class size- but not surprising because about 15% of JHU grads go directly to law school.
