Econ PhD question

Hey all,

So I'm currently a sophomore at Rutgers looking to major in Econ, minor in Math. Through the fall semester of my 2nd year, I have a perfect 4.0 in my econ classes, but I'm struggling in math. I just got a C+ in Calc II, and I'm really worried about my chances of getting into a top grad program. I keep hearing about how important math is, and I do plan on taking higher level courses, but I'm wondering how bad this C+ is going to look. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Top econ programs want to see not only good grades in math courses, but good grades in upper level courses such as real analysis. If you’re struggling in the basic courses like calc II, that doesn’t bode well for more advanced courses, such as calc III, linear algebra, and real analysis should you take it.
