im a freshman at columbia.
Should people who are are interested in majoring in Political Science and Economics do the dual degree program (econ-polisci) or major in both separately? Or do the two count as the same thing?

bumpbump

I’m interested in possibly doing a similar program

It depends on the aspects of Economics and Political Science that interest you. Econ/Poli is an interdisciplinary program, focusing on how the two intersect. If you’re interested in econ and poli/sci separately, then you should double major.

But really, you have 2 years to figure this out. Don’t worry about it yet. Just try different econ and poli/sci courses and see what you like.

Is it possible for one to experiment with econ/ polisci as well as try out econ/philosophy because both interdisciplinary options are available and I’m not quite sure about which I would want to take.
