Can you apply as an econ. major and then switch, once your accepted to Davis, to comp sci or is it easier to apply as comp. sci and then switch to econ. The reason i ask is because i’m not 100% decided on what major i want to pursue so if i didnt like one i would switch majors once i got into davis.

i applied under econ got in, and now im transfering into mechanical engineering. All i have to do is have a 3.0 in the MAT21 series and finish all the pre-reqs and ges in order to transfer in to the college of engineering. Im pretty sure comp sci is in the same college as engineering so you probably have to do the same thing as i am. Basically when choosing your classes, the engineering peer advisors told me just to "act as an engineer" and take all the classes you need for comp sci and your set.

Computer Science (not to be confused with "Computer Science and Engineering") is under the College of Letters and Science, which might have less restrictions when transferring.
