Hi everyone,

Can anyone give me a detailed analysis of the comparsion between econ and business major.

And also, if anyone is really informed on UCB, can they give a analysis of the Haas undergrad program vs UCB econ undergrad?

I really appeciated it!

Economics programs are going to deal more with theory and analysis than business programs. Business programs will focus more on solvency issues vs. overall analysis and business be more narrow in its focus. Economics requires more math as well (granted you'll probably only need Calculus 2 for undergraduate economics). Economics majors have almost the same prospects for employment in business as business majors (although in some areas business majors have better chances of employment).
