Econ001 and Econ002

I was wondering if anyone knows for certain whether or not Econ001 is an official prereq for Econ002. I do not have any Econ AP credit but I have entered a request in the class registration system for econ002 and I did not have any issues doing so.

I have been getting conflicted information regarding the prereq status of Econ001 since on the website it says iyou must do econ001 first but others have said it is not. I don’t want to register in advance for a class I’m not going to be allowed to take.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes...it definitely is

for economics.

you have to take econ001 before econ002. and you have to take econ002 before you take any other econ.

You don't HAVE to, but it is a prereq. You can petition to take both concurrently or econ002 before econ 001 however.

is one of of those micro-econ & the other macro-econ? I am taking both at a community college (I'm going to be a senior) and was wondering if I should take 1st...if 1 is a prereq for the other at Penn, that'd help me figure things out.

001 micro, 002 macro

to get transfer credit, I think only APs are accepted.

so i should take the AP test even if I get an "A" in the community college class? (I am a high school student)

I think it is a necessary part of getting the college credit.

sorry this is a lil bit off, but can one take Econ 101 and Math 114 at the same time? I noticed that Math 114 is a prereq for Econ 101 (intermediate econ thoery).
