economic research

I am in high school and I really want to do some economic research maybe at a local university how would i go about doing this

You essentially answered your own question. Sign up at your local university/community college.

find an issue and research it

@HeWhoPwnz they dont just let people in, i wanna know how i can participate in the ongoing research there

I’m in the same position as you, and I really want to either take more advanced economics classes or participate in some sort of research. My local community college has no courses that are more advanced than AP Micro/macro, so I’m pretty lost… any ideas?

Email professors?

the school im referring to is University of Rochester, they have quite a prestigious economic research dept, im not sure it is even worth emailing them.

The Clark summer research program allows for research in liberal arts/humanities/non-science and math fields. I’m not sure about economics specifically, but you should check it out. It’s pretty selective and it sounds like a great experience.
