Economics and Accounting Upper Division

Hi, I'm a sophomore and am currently in Econ 10A and am concerned that econ make not be the right major for me. I got a B- and a B in Econ 1+2 but in 10A i am really struggling and it looks like im going to get a C or C+. I need to get a B+ and a B in 3A and 3B to get into the major (assuming i get a C+ in 10A), which i think I can do but i'm worried about upper division courses..

Does anyone know what the curves are like in upper division? Because if they are like the lower division classes that means the average GPA is like a 2.5-2.7 in upper division...would a degree in econ accounting from UCSB even be worth anything with a GPA in the high 2's?? I was hoping to get a job in accounting up in San Francisco after college, but I'm questioning whether this is realistic or not.

You’ll see much more As and Bs in upper division, gets quite a bit easier since the curves are not as strict. Normally, I’d see about 20% As instead of the 6%. And to go for those SF accounting job, try to get a 3.4+ to be competitive, though this is assuming you have some pretty good extra curr. as well

Don’t you need at least a b+ in 10a to be admitted to the major? I thought that was how the curve worked. And how is 10a compared to the other two? I’m trying to get into the econ major as well but I’m only in econ 1 right now.
