I'm thinking about getting a BS in Economics and an MS in Commerce (Financial Services). Do you think that's a good, possibly profitable route?

I’m really interested in Business, but an MS in Commerce is only given to people who didn’t undergrad in Business. And an MBA requires work experience.

Have you considered a double major in Commerce and Economics?

Can’t. If you do Commerce as an undergrad at UVA, you’re barred from pursuing the MS. In all actuality, I’d like to work in investment banking, stockbroking, etc.

You misunderstood my question….I meant double undergrad majors in Commerce (COMM) and Economics (CLAS).

I would rather do an MS later on just because that would probably look stronger. Plus, Econ and Commerce is too much for me at once.
