"Economics and Computer Science" program?

It seems that NYU has a program called "Economics and Computer Science", which is a joint program between the Economics and Computer Science departments. So, what exactly is this program? Is it like doing double major in Economics and Computer Science? Also, is it a popular program?

I'm considering applying to the program because I'm interested in business, economics, and computer science. (hmm.. should I apply to Gallatin instead of CAS?)

Thank you!

hey man, this sounds awesome
I was thinking of applying to Gallatin for CS and Marketing.

if you get any additional information, post it. I'm pretty interested

is this a program you can apply for when applying for admission?

I just got a mail from CAS saying that it's a joint program between the CS department and the Economics department. This guy from CAS told me not to take it if I want to have in-depth study in the field of either computer science or economics.

An interesting fact I learned is that this is not a double major program. So, a student in this program will have their major "Economics and Computer Science."

well the only info i can find about it is on through google. seems like its just a program in CAS. i'm VERY interested in this, so I guess i'd just have to apply to CAS? i actually thought it was a gallatin thing at first...
