I both want to study Political Science and Economics, but I think I want to focus on politics in my career.
Is it better to study Political Science in bachelors or masters degree in this case?
Is it a good idea to minor in economics in undergraduate degree?
Or none of them makes any difference?
Many thanks.
It doesn’t matter - you can do politics with a degree in either one. Political science is the social scientific study of government systems and political behavior - it’s not politics per se, although having an analytical/scientific understanding of these kinds of things can help in a political career. But economics and politics are closely related as well so economics can help too. I would say that economics probably has slightly better long-term career outcomes in terms of employment rate and income/salary, but political science actually has pretty high average salaries especially after you get a graduate degree.
So, it doesn’t matter - pick the one that interests you the most.
