<p>Where does the undergrad economics program in Berkeley stand as compared to other top programs? How competitive is the admissions process for econ majors as compared to other majors?</p>

<p>At calso they said it wasnt a student cap on the major but a GPA cap for the econ pre-reqs. I believe they require a 3.2 for prereqs? I'm not 100% sure.</p>
<p>i just came back from calso and some haas dude mentioned having a b+ average to pretty much get into the econ major

<p>Just to clarify, is this econ major in the college of letters and arts or in Haas? Because I thought Haas only gives out B.A. degrees.</p>
<p>Econ is in L&S, and the degree is a B.A. Haas only gives out a B.S. in Business Administration for Undergraduates.</p>
