Economics at Vassar

Hey there everyone!!!! So, I am going to Vassar this next year, and I had always been under the impression that they have a strong economics program. However, something a friend said to me is making me rethink that assumption. So, here is my question: how strong is Vassar's economics program? Is it very renown or nationally recognized? Also, what kind of opportunities are there for econ majors? (I'm talking internships, careers, and elite grad schools....harvard, etc.....)?? Thank you so much for your help!!!! :)

Oh, and I almost forgot........in terms of career building (plus networking) and grad school opportunities for econ majors, which is the better fit - vassar or wellesley???

Thanks!!!!!! :)

i dont know much about the grad school/internship opportunites but my roommate of the first two years is an econ major and talks very highly of the department. I believe the department has several teachers who attended Ivy league schools and one that I know studied at Stanford. Also, Paul Rudd is one of the leading economists in the field of probability and statistics and has written what is considered one of the best textbooks in that field. Sorry I do not know the specifics but I am a History major who overheard these comments.
