Hello I'm new to college confidential, but have seen the websites a few times. But anyway, I am going to be a college freshman in the fall and I want to major in economics and math. However, I always hear that you have to go to an Ivy-level school to be able to find a good job afterwards with this major. I've just been accepted to Wesleyan University and hopefully will be accepted Vassar College (top choice ^.^) next Tuesday. So I guess my question is if I major in economics. and math at either one of these schools will I be able to get a good job or go to a good graduate school?

It depends on you. If you work for it, then yes you will get an Awesome Job. If not, then be prepared to sleep on the streets. Sure, people are like Ivy League this, Ivy league this etc. An OG told me once that one of his coworkers went to Harvard and ended up delivering newspaper and smoking Weed. If you got the balls, then yes you can become whatever you want. However, if you went to a top notch school and sit around hoping to be a hot shot, then might as not go to college.

Lol that’s for the advice. Would anyone have any information on which of these schools have the stronger programs (economics and math)?
