I'm interested in majoring in Economics at NYU, but from what I saw both the CAS and Stern offer economics as a major. I might apply early decision, but while looking through financial aid, I got the impression that Stern doesn't offer scholarships or honors programs, while the CAS offers the Presidential Honors Program along with scholarships (I don't qualify for any of the university-wide scholarships).

Is this true? If I go to stern, do I have to really pay almost $45,000 per year, no scholarships allowed except for need-based aid which is not very good at NYU? How different are the CAS and Stern Economics Programs? How tough are the scholarships in CAS to get?

Thanks :)
