Do I have to take spanish or chemistry? I am pretty bad at both

As an economics major (is that what you meant?), you’ll need four semesters of foreign language. It does not have to be Spanish but can be any of the dozens of languages offered. As for your science credit, it does not have to be chemistry.

Ya, I meant language, darn I hate languages. So I can do like Biology instead of Chem?

Yes, you can do biology instead of chemistry. I too hate foreign language classes so I understand your pain. Thankfully I only had to have two semesters.

Are they known to be difficult at UT, or pretty easy?

What is difficult? Foreign languages? They can be a real *****. Intro levels are taught by grad students who vary widely by their abilities and interest level. Some don’t care at all and some seem to think it is critical that you master their language. If you have an easy professor you will regret it when you take the next course.

Biology and chemistry? I don’t know, haven’t had them. Others here will be able to offer help.

Bio and Chem = not easy!

I thought most language credits could be bypassed if you took 3 years in HS? is that not true?

I believe you can take a science class (biology, physics, chemistry) for non-majors, which are easier than the regular class.
