Same thing with me guys! I got accepted to the Yale site, but something came and I have to leave the country for a rotary missions trip! They said you can be put on a wait list, but do any of you know the chances of being admitted to then other one that ask for?

@lefty37 I got switched to the College of William and Mary because it originally was my first choice but I changed it because they made a typo about the dates on the website!
@mirmir123 did you call?

@megan702 yep I called, they put me on the wait list for Cornell, fingers crossed! But since I’m a soph if I don’t do it this year, they told me I can do it next year at Yale!

Hey, everyone! I’m a high school senior, and I just thought I’d let you know that EFL IS AMAZING AND YOU’LL LOVE IT.

Haha thanks for letting us know! which campus did you go to?

My son did this program last year and had a fantastic time!

mirmir123, I have been accepted to Cornell, and want to swithc to the Yale site due to date conflicts… I wonder if there is anyway we can talk to EFL to switch our spots for us, so that we are not put on a waitlist.

@mirmir-My daughter was recommended to attend this program by her Economics teacher. She is also a sophomore but when she emailed them to make sure she could attend as a sophomore they told her “No.” Glad you got in but sorry that she got bad information.

@topgrad

If you message me, I’ll forward the email address of Dean of EFL. He helped me out with payments.

Sent from my SPH-L710 using CC

This is great! I think that we can definitely work something out!

@ConfuseMominMA sorry to hear that! I saw that on the website but decided to still apply because on the application it still allowed me to choose my grade. When we called the office with my whole Yale mishap they stated that they were surprised that I got accepted. They said that my essay was good and so they didn’t realize that I was a soph. I hope your daughter attends next year!

Do they change the colleges that hold the sessions every year? My daughter was going to try for the Cornell session since that is a school in which she is interested. Would be sad if next years colleges were either too far away and/or not schools she wanted to look at.

@mirmir-Good for you. Guess the old saying is true “Better to apologize afterwards than ask permission first” or something like that. Should have just had her apply!

How do I contact you mirmir. We will need to get on a conf. call with EFL to do a simultaneous switch. I cannot send you a reply because I do not have enough posts on here.

@topgrad you can’t dm me?

mirmir, not until I have more than 10-20 posts on CC, can u please contact me via PM.

Has anyone received registration info in the mail yet? I haven’t…

I received my packet in the mail about 2 days after the acceptance email was sent out! Maybe you should call them?

I will call them tomorrow! In your packet, when is the deadline for registration? Just curious, even though the registration deadlines are probably different for each location

Mine says April 12th, and I’m going to the one at Berkeley.

Our K applied very, very early (back in Dec.) and received the packet in late January, I think. Registration forms and fees were due in February. You can pay online or via mail.
