I called and then received an email from the Student Admissions coordinator (Mr. Gregg). It was a general email saying that a lot of students won’t be able to turn in their applications by the specified date, so they are extending the deadline. Hopefully, I will receive the package soon, but I will call again if I still don’t receive it when I’m closer to the registration deadline. I’m not too surprised I haven’t receive it yet because I live in Ohio, and USPS might be slow in delivering it from California…

I received my packet information for Yale the day I got the email. I’m surprised that you haven’t yet, but since the decisions deadline has been extended their offices must be running a bit behind on some packages.

Well, hopefully it will come soon! I bet it’ll come within the next couple days.

Can anyone speak to the college credit portion of this program? Is it worthwhile and interesting?

For those who have been accepted to UT Austin, have you received information about where to do the registration on campus?

I was accepted into the Cornell site but the dates were inconvenient so I switched to UCLA. I am going next week! Is anyone else going? And on the list it said that linens are provided…does that mean I dont need blankets/pillows?

Be there at Cornell July 28th-August 4th!

Anybody get their info yet? Haven’t gotten mine.

^ yeah same havent got mine either

^ heard anything about when it’s supposed to come? I mean I understand because I’m on the opposite coast from the FTE office in California, but it’s 3 weeks away, uk?

Got my info for the program at Cornell! So excited!

Can anyone tell me what book is required for the college credit? Parents weren’t up for doing the credits with the additional cost, but I’d still really like to read the book to be better prepared for the program, know what everyone is talking about, and to gain some more knowledge in economics as a prospective business major.

Just came back from Yale. The best experience of my lifetime - literally kids from all over the WORLD. Made some lifetime friends and basic knowledge in Econ. Good luck!

Anyone who’s done the program already, what do you do if you didn’t decide to take the college credits and can’t participate in the Socratic circle on “Economics of Public Issues” portion of one of the days? I read the book to be on the same page with everyone, but my parents didn’t want me to go for the credits because of the cost after how much taking AP’s and SAT tutoring have cost, and I’d just like to know what to expect even if it is just two hours.

Anybody attending the one at Berkeley? It’s coming up soon and I’m so excited!

Hi guys! To anyone who took the college credit,
- is the test timed?
- on the transcript, say you made a 75% on the test, does it show up as a 75? Or as long as you passed it’s 100.
Thanks! Debating whether to take it now and get it over with.

Hey, does anyone know if we have to bring formal attire along with us :P? I know many summer programs that like to take pictures/go to places that would be awkward if you didn’t bring like a shirt and tie etc.
