Did not see any threads about it this year so might as well start one.
Anyone already get an acceptance letter back?
If so which site are you going to?
How competitive is the admissions?
How long does it take for the acceptance letters to be sent?
(Am I the only one that sent in the application yesterday!?!? Is that bad?)
Hey there! I attended EFL Duke 2014 :P… I don’t think admissions is REALLY competitive; so long as you write a decent essay and have the money, it shouldn’t be insanely hard to get into. Some sites didn’t even have enough people to fill all their slots. I think it really depends on the site you’re going to, though… This, however, did not ruin the experience; everyone was awesome. I don’t know when I got decisions back, so sorry!
Hey, I applied to Yale, UChicago and Cornell too! I heard acceptance letters usually come with two to three weeks of applying. I’ve read through past threads here and it seems like everyone who has gone has really enjoyed the experience.
hey! i applied for uchicago, cornell, and brown. I haven’t received any word yet, but I’ll post on here asap when I do. As for Reply #1’s point about unfilled sites, I don’t think Uchicago, Cornell, or Brown will have that issue since they’re among the most popular sites people apply to !
Congrats! I’m not doing the college credit option. Is anyone thinking of fundraising? I don’t think it’s mandatory but I’m not sure how to go about it.
