Economics for leaders

You can call them. The people seem friendly!

thanks @Love4Law… i haven’t actually been accepted yet. I’m a little worried. They said by the end of the first week of february. That was today. After tomorrow, should i give them a call? I haven’t been rejected or accepted.

@tconn9 are you that you handed in your application by the ED deadline which was January 13, I believe. All results are sent out yesterday so, I’m sorry to say that you might have to wait until March if you are now part of the RD applicants.

I would call them if I were you. Good Luck!!
@Hawkace , did you get accepted anywhere?

@Love4Law I got accepted to the program @UCal-Berkeley. I mentioned it in the last page which also bumped this old thread.

@Hawkace…ohh sorry I forget. Anyways, have you heard any reviews of how the program is?

@Love4Law It’s okay. I haven’t heard any reviews outside of CC and EFL. I wish that an alumni could share his/her experience with us.

@Hawkace Are you 100% sure that you are going?

I have heard from people that have done it (i heard through CC and from people at my school) that this program is great! A lot of the activities are economics related (obvi) and that there is a lot of leadership/team building as well. Also, the selectivity is around 30% depending on each location. Congrats to everyone who got accepted!

Thanks @mirmir123
Yea the selectivity is high…

For future people looking at this
Yale/Cornell: 20%-30%
Chicago/UCLA/Vandy/Berkely: 30%-35%
and then other are around 50%+

@Love4Law That’s pretty selective. I"m pretty sure that I’m going. I’m currently a junior so I want to visit colleges over there as well. I also want to do some research or an internship in a college at Cali.

I applied january 12th

@hawkace

@Love4Law
No problem!
And wow I did not realize that the Yale and Cornell were so selective. Last year, weirdly, I got into the Yale one as a sophomore but could not go because I had a missions trip overseas. It really does depend on location for this program. Last year, the Hillsdale one never got filled up because no one I guess wanted to go to that location… haha.

How “prestigious” is this program?

Whoever has taken this, how similar is it to AP Macro and Micro economics? The topics seem very similar.

@Hawkace It is quite prestigious, I assume. Not extremely prestigious but not something that won’t get noticed or underestimated. It also depends where you go.

@Love4Law I’m going to UCal- Berkeley. Would that be prestigious?

Yes, of course!

@Hawkace
