I know that the UC’s were bred on the sciences and engineering stuff but im going to major in Economics in UCSD which im very stoked about cus there are two nobel prize winning professors their. Anways my question is that is Economics a good major to go into for Business school in the future? and especially at UCSD? (I didnt get into SB and UCB (which has an business program) , long story, but i didnt want to go there anyways) and i was wondering if UCSD has an accounting course that i could take cus i heard that accounting is a fundamental tool in business.

nope no business program at sd...and yes you are on the money, accounting is very imp in the business world

annnnnnyyyyyooonnnnee

Econ would be fine for B-school. UCSD is starting to put a lot more into this area with their Rady School of Management; they have a good network developing with SD companies, especially with high tech.

You might want to look into UCSD's management science program for undergraduates, it is supposedly similar to Haas' undergraduate BA program.

thanks everyone for the help. More input would be helpful too.

I signed on to a management science degree at UCSD, but I am a creative person so I was thinking more into a marketing major. UCSD has always been my dream school but I don’t know what I can do with a management science degree, and I don’t know if its right for me. Any advice?

I was also accepted to University of San Diego, UCI, UCB, Babson, Pepperdine, and Seattle University (Marketing)
