Long story short I didn't meet the gpa requirement of a 2.8 in Econ 1 and Econ 2 to declare an econ major. I received a C in micro and a B- in macro. I am a first year. I took Econ 1 fall quarter along with math and the college core course. The advisors said it would be too hard of a schedule plus I was working and involved in a music ensemble. I just finished math 11amsA and I'm taking math 11amsB this next quarter (spring quarter). What can I do so my appeal is granted? I have to get into this major because there is no other major/degree I want to pursue. Please help :/

Bumpppppppp.

Honestly, if you did so badly in Econ 1 and 2 it might be time to drop it. It only gets worse. I know a couple of students who breezed through the lower division classes only to be brutally beaten by the first upper division class they took.

From the other people I have known who have gone through the appeals process, they have usually stated that they are going to stop their extracurriculars or cut back on work to focus on school. Also, depending on how much you have been working that may very well stand as a good reason for the poor grades.
