I currently attend a large mid-level state university, and I’m incredibly disappointed in my economics courses. They are listed as junior/senior level classes, but they are absurdly slow and easy. I have a lot of interest in economics as a subject, but it seems that I may be wasting my time. I see two potential paths forward. I can transfer, or I can change major. If I decide to transfer, I would apply to UVA, Georgetown, and U Richmond. If I change my major I would go to applied math or industrial engineering. Is undergraduate economics supposed to feel slow/easy? Would I still have a path forward in economics if I changed to IE or math? Thanks in advance for any help!
