<p>What are the reputations of the Economics, Math, and Computer Science departments? Are there specifically really good professors and courses within those departments? I'm thinking about majoring in either one of them, or a combination of them.</p>

<p>Hi. I just saw this post. I am a second year mathematics major at Rutgers. I really love the department. Out of 9 classes, 8 of the professors have been outstanding. One bad apple, but compared to other departments, that’s nothing. Great research opportunities and many of the professors actually do care here. Do your research though and don’t end up with the few crappy professors. (Although it is impossible to pick your section fall semester for freshmen.) If you have specific questions on the math dept., I can try to answer them for you. I only took one CS course and no econ. courses, so I can’t really help you there.</p>
