Economics or Finance?

I'm currently a student at DePaul University in Chicago and I have not selected a major yet. I was leaning towards Finance, but I've been having second thoughts. Economics has caught my attention a lot and I seem to be leaning towards that now. What advice can you guys give me? I was considering possibly majoring in Economics and minoring in either Finance or Accounting. I also want to attend grad school in a couple years and earn an MBA. Is economics the better route to take?

Thanks

whatever you are more interested in, finance is more hardcore business banking world, economics can go to variety of places but is harder to get certain jobs that require a finance major. Research what employers want in job postings of positions you think you would have after graduation. Only get the MBA if you actually need it otherwise it won't make much of a pay difference after a few more years unless you are in a top 10 MBA program.
