Economics or Marketing/PR?

I went into college majoring in PR, minoring in Marketing. I have done all the research and I know that I would love to study the field and get a career in it.

However, my Microeconomics professor approached me the other day and told me I should consider majoring in Economics. I made a 100 on his midterm that covered about 3 months of notes on the demand side of things. I just thought that it was my Marketing interest that made me so good at it.

However, he said I have great intuition and a natural knack for econ, so I still think I should look into it. What differences between Marketing/PR and Economics should I consider? (such as pay, demand for jobs, atmosphere, daily tasks...)

what did you end up doing?
