How is the Bachelor's of Economics program at USC?
How do you compare to other universities in California such as UCLA and CAL?
What internships/jobs are graduates of this program getting?
Do you like the program itself? Anything not to like about it?

I'm a first year hoping to transfer in as second year Economics major from a California community college.

It’s hard to gauge as far as undergrad, but CAL and UCLA have a higher grad ranking for their depts. However, USC is no joke with their dept either. I’ve sat in many of my econ classes and overheard people talking about their interviews with BB i-banks. I do not know how many end up with internships, but they were making second/final rounds of interviews with places like MS or GS in the job market for the past few years. One of my professors talked about what we should know for job interviews and mentioned a few years ago (pre-recession) USC econ students were hot property. I generally like the program, but it really depends on the profs you get. I used ratemyprofessors to scope out which ones to take. Some semesters I felt really limited with the courses I was actually interested in and that did not have a poor prof teaching. I took up a double major and did the other major until I had enough credits for registration priority to get good classes, as they will max out quickly.
