But then again so did so many other majors. I keep on changing my mind on majors for the last 3 years, and I still have gotten no where. It's pathetic really. I have issues. I enjoy reading about economics, even when it's not school work. I find it very interesting but a part of me thinks that I am not smart enough for this field. I was thinking of sticking to accounting, because it's good money and it seems very routine like work, like you're not in for any surprise. You learn the procedure and apply it, repeat process. Now when I think of economics I think you have to be creative, write research papers, think outside the box..and if you're truly good then you will excel..but what if you're not? I guess I want to excel in my career and atleast hit six digits..and I feel like the most realistic way to do this is go into accounting. I am not stating accounting is going to be easy at all. True I could have just written down the stereotype most people have about these two fields, but usually it's a stereotype for a reason. I wrote this rant hoping someone could come save me! Haha, I wish.

accounting is an extremely boring and unsatisfying job. if you work at one of the big four's they will work you to death. and you will probably want to quit the job even before becoming a senior.

econ is a better choice if you are at a highly prestigious school.

economics is interesting and accounting is boring as hell... well, do you have anything that we didn't know?

lol i agree...accounting will deliver boredom and kill. just go to harvard and become and economist and you'll "hit six digits."
