I'm aiming for a double major in economics with either math or physics. I know econ+math is the more popular choice for finance but I also dislike the fact that the upper levels of math for a math degree may become extremely abstract and difficult to understand whereas physics may not be as theoretical. What do you guys think: math or physics?

If you're attending Harvard or MIT, then I don't think an investment bank will really care if you choose physics over math, or math over physics.
