<p>I'm not exactly sure how the program is.... but a LOT of my friends are managerial economics major students there. And it doesn't seem as easy as I thought it would be?</p>

<p>UCD is great for both managerial economics and economics. Managerial economics is harder to get into and requires 180 units for the major as opposed to only 61-64 units for economics.</p>

<p>41-44 of the 180 units for Managerial Economics are unrestricted though. So this means you can minor, take other classes, or even double major if you plan your schedule out correctly. </p>

how hard is it to tranfer from economics ( which is in letters/science school) to managerial econ ( under some agricultural/ environmental school)??
the wesbite said major requests happen after one quarter but does that include changes in major from different schools???

<p>Yes it should be pretty easy to change.

<p>You first have to complete two math courses, one statistics course, and two economics courses. So unless you have outside units, it should take two quarters before you can change majors.</p>

i have credit for math 16a ( from 5 on AP CALC AB test)
stats 13 credit and econ 1 b credit ( from upcoming ap exam hopefully)</p>

do I need to take courses for which i already got AP exam credit?( or how do they factor my ap exam credit into 2.80 gpa required for pre-major status?)</p>
<p>I'm not too sure about this. But I'm willing to bet that if you go see your major adviser after a quarter and show him/her your transferred units as well as the first quarter classes, you'll be able to switch easily.</p>
