EC's for a Biochemistry/Biology transfer?

<p>I'm going to be a sophomore at a community college this year, and hoping to transfer to UT as a biology or biochemistry transfer. My GPA is expected to be a 3.4, so I really need to be great about my essays, letter of recommendations, and ec's. Things is, what extracurricular activities do biochemistry/biology transfers do? Besides researching in a lab I mean (because that's a bit hard to find, even in Austin).</p>

<p>More than anything, I would focus on getting that GPA as high as possible; a 3.4 is below average. Grades should take 100% of your focus.</p>
