ECs for a weird kind of girl

Basically, I have an issue in terms of college admissions, I'm terribly fascinated with EVERYTHING. Science, humanities, writing, politics, math, you name it, I like. So unfortunately, I don't have a focus to my EC's at all. I've maintained some consistency, but also haven't. My ECs have gotten progressively better. They go as follows:
9th:
- Swimming year round (10 hours weekly)
- Science Olympiad
- Piano
- Knitting Club
- Served on student advisory committee for school for underpriveleged girls
- Volunteered to teach swimming lessons

10th:
- Lieutenant Governor Internship
- Swimming year round (10 hours weekly)
- Science Olympiad (won 2 state medals)
- Tennis
- Chinese Culture Club (as a caucasion)
- Student advisory committee
- Weekly volunteering tutoring

11th:
- Assistant Editor for Young Idealist Magazine (non profit)
- Secretary for Young Idealist Magazine
- Science Olympiad (Captain)
- Math League (participant)
- Swimming (10 hours weekly)
- Student Advisory Comittee
- Sporadic Volunteer Tutoring

So basically, I haven't honed in on anything at all. I like a whole bunch of things. I feel like my ECs for this year are significantly better and more prestigious but I'm not really sure. Obviously I'm not basing my ECs on college or else they would be a lot more focused but I'm just wondering how adcoms will view all this.

Your ECs are fine. Stop worrying about this.

Have you won awards in any? That, I think, would be the best way to balance your breadth with depth. Just from looking at what you posted, it seems like you have a wide range of interests as well as consistency in the activities most important to you. I’d say you’re good overall.

I feel like I don’t have too much consistency, I have a little bit with science olympiad, swimming, and my advisory board membership, but that’s about it. What kind of awards are you suggesting? Things like essay contests maybe, or something along those lines? I know my ECs are just fine for my state U but for Swarthmore and schools of that nature and caliber I worry that I don’t stand out enough.

What schools are you aiming to apply to? Only the very top colleges will nitpick over your ECs.

On your apps, I would just focus on the things you’ve done all four years. This year, work on winning awards (swimming medals, more SO medals, and enter Scholastics and other competitions for your journalism). You don’t have to be focused on one activity, but it looks good to be devoted to the ones, however "unfocused they seem, that you do. I definitely wouldn’t worry though.

So maybe focus on swimming and science olympiad? But then what about my more prestigious ECs like my lieutenant governor internship and assistant editor job that weren’t really things I could participate in all 4 years, should I still emphasize those in my apps.

And @some poster who asked about my college search, my top choices are Swarthmore, Wesleyan, Franlkin and Marshall, NYU, and Brown.
