<p>I was wondering how important ECs and work experience are for transfer students? I joined the Honor Society and just started volunteering this month, and don't have any work experience, and I was wondering if I should put stuff I did in high school as well? I'm applying as an econ major and doing the UCLA TAP.... will my pathetic ECs affect my chances!?? btw I just graduated in 09 and am on my way to getting my AA in a year, if that makes a difference.</p>
<p>grades are the most important thing. ECs only matter if u apply to an impacted major like haas/berkeley, communications/ucla, or engineering for ucla/berkeley etc…and there’s no reason to get an AA if ur transferring…</p>
<p>oh yeah i know that, but i just mentioned that to emphasize that i’m taking on a lot of credits and havent had much time to look for a job or join many clubs.
and do you think it’s wise to put high school ECs on the app if i havent continued any of them since i graduated?</p>
<p>i put my HS on there. i’m assuming there’s a reason why they left that option on there…but my honors counselor and a ucla rep told me they only care about the crap u did only after 11th grade</p>
