So I am applying to Cal Poly Slo for Computer Science and for the extra questions, they ask me about my activities. All they ask me for is if I held leadership positions (yes or no question) and approximately average number of hours per week I am involved in these activities. They don’t ask me to list any of these activities at all… is that normal??
It if for them. They really are utilize a by-the-numbers approach to admissions.

Have you visited the campus, and sat through an admissions presentation? (When my son and I did - some six years ago - the campus feel and atmosphere so mirrored the admissions presentation, we knew that their approach was not right for him.)
SLO is the only CSU that even asks these questions and they account for only about 10% of the MCA points. As stated above, SLO is mainly stats based so GPA, test scores, HS course rigor (going above and beyond the recommended a-g courses) account for most of the MCA points in the admission process.
