ECs list: "Please indicate class year"

Stanford’s app asks me to list academic honors and programs, “Since the beginning of tenth grade. Indicate class year”.

So what is that?
" ____ Club (2004-2005)" ?

Because if so, I’ve just written “____ Club (12th)” for 12th grade, and i need to start all over again. Is it a big deal?

And if i’ve been in a club for 5 years, i.e. since the 7th grade, i.e. , if it says ‘since the beginning of tenth grade’, does that mean I list “____Club (2000-2005)” or, “(2003-2005)”.

<p>Class year means that you can list by grade--9,10,11,12. You don't need the "th".</p>

<p>Stanford isn't interested in that science award you got in 8th grade. Don't put any middle school stuff unless it is REALLY a giant deal (national level).</p>

<p>For clubs, go with your high school experience--"__ Club (9-12)".</p>
