<p>I am trying to make my Common App EC details as honest and reasonable as possible, and I have been struggling to count hours per week because some weeks are competition weeks and others are, well, not. All my ecs are for the whole school year, and to make it simple I am just trying to figure average work per day. My ECs tend to be research-heavy, and a lot of that research and organization is done at home. I am figuring an hour before school and two hours after school plus two extra hours twice a week for a service organization at which I volunteer. That is 1<em>7+2</em>5+4= 21. On weekends I am figuring 6 hours overall since some weekends are competition weekends out of town and others are a bit more relaxed in town or at home. </p>
<p>So overall, that ends up being 25 hours. Does that seems reasonable? I am trying to be truthful, and it is hard to count hours for some of my ecs. </p>
