This is actually a question for a friend. His extracurriculars don't really show well-roundedness and instead revolve around his hobby: entrepreneurship. He's started 4 businesses during high school and currently runs an online store that makes two to three thousand dollars month. He's also quite involved in Model UN, but not much else besides. Will Harvard regard this kind of passion more highly than those huge laundry lists of ECs and leadership many people have?

Of course. Anyone that can start a successful business in high school would be very impressive. His business shows his time, effort, and skill he devoted to his cause.

I would of thought the answer was self-evident.

Quality always!
Look at extracurricular threads...you will find that this topic is perennial, along with the debates between UK and US unis, APs vs IBs and Harvard vs Yale.. :D

Quality shows dedication, while quantity just shows some wanting to pad their resume.

So what do you think of my friend's chances?
