<p>I've not done any sports in school. However, I've taken dance outside of school all four years. Do schools look more upon school sports? Should I even put dance as one of my EC's? Also, will they need like a letter from my dance instructor to confirm that I took dance? How do they do that?</p>

<p>Yes it counts. Anything extra you do that you are comitted to counts as an EC. If you have recieved any awards you can mention that too. EC's are all about commitment whether it was in school or out, it just depends how much time and effort you put into it.</p>
