EC's!!!!

OK I was wondering about EC’s. I have Ec’s ranging from 1-4yrs but most of my EC’s are 2 years in my 11th and 12th grade years. Is that going to hurt me when applying for elite colleges like NYU, GWU, University of Michigan, and Boston College.

<p>I really wouldn't think so. I know at my school, freshman year is mostly getting used to the school, etc. Most people don't get REALLY involved until their junior or senior years.</p>

<p>I don't think it will HURT you. You may want to emphasise the clubs and activities you've done since freshman or just show the ones you have participated in the most (leave the ones that you joined JUST for colleges apps out. They will notice. Like if you joined so-and-so club and you just show up to a few meetings and that's it, it won't really add anything to your app).</p>
